The events on Bondi Beach last weekend have shaken every Australian. There is no place for hate or violent extremism in Australia. We note with pride the actions of Livesavers from North Bondi SLSC and the Bondi Surf Bathers SLSC (yes Bondi has two clubs!). Their actions during and after the events saved many lives.

Surf Lifesavers don't train for mass-shootings, but they know how to stay calm under pressure, communicate, apply first aid and liase with authorities.
