ABOUT THE CLUB
Golden and Paradise Beaches are situated half way along Victoria's spectacular Ninety Mile Beach, about 30 minutes East of Sale. It is one of the closest beaches for a broad area of Gippsland stretching from Traralgon in the West to Stratford in the East, a population base of over 120,000.
The beach itself is part of the Lakes National Park, Tatungalung country and is jointly administered by Parks Victoria and the Gunaikurnai people who hold native title over the region. The beach itself can be wild and wind swept, and at other time as flat as a lake. It is popular with the fishing community, kite surfers and beach lovers of all kinds. The exposed nature of the beach means that it is often subject to unsafe swimming conditions, with rips, dangerous wave patterns and hidden undersea trenches.
For many years the local and greater Gippsland communities has been calling for an active Surf Life Saving Club in the town. Not just to ensure the beach is safer for all its visitors, but as a thriving community hub, where connections are made, life skills learned and particularly as a sporting and recreational outlet for the area's younger people.
In response to this demand Golden Paradise Beach Surf Life Saving Club was incorporated in September 2025. We are in our nascent stages but seek to establish affiliation with Life Saving Victoria at our earliest opportunity, so that we can deliver the services the region deserves and needs
